Whilst some industrial flooring systems

When specialist housing and environmental
technology company Uponor Ltd needed to increase their
very narrow aisle, high bay storage system within their
warehouse, the only way to go was up, by means of an
extremely narrow aisle extended racking system.

were commissioned by Uponor to ascertain the best flooring
solution to meet the sophisticated demands of their
very narrow aisle warehouse facility. Combined Flooring
Services have extensive experience of the strict requirements
of TR34 the definitive Concrete Society guide to the
design and construction of industrial ground floors,
including very narrow aisles.
Extensively used in a wide range of
industries, ARDEX SD-T is increasingly specified to provide unparalleled
performance, versatility, flatness and durability. This
project required the new floor to be capable of withstanding
heavy trafficking, alongside providing an exceptionally
level and flat surface for the high reach industrial
fork lift trucks which would operate within the aisles.

to fulfil the demanding performance criteria.
Critical to the project were ARDEX SD-T's free flowing and self-levelling characteristics,
which helped to ensure that the precise tolerances were
met within the narrow aisles. When coupled with ARDEX SD-T's inherent high abrasion resistance and built-in
Rapidry Formula technology, the requirements for toughness,
low maintenance, and fast track completion were easily
achieved.
