ARDITEX NA Comes to the Rescue Once Again!
ARDEX UK, the leading manufacturer of premium performance flooring products, were pleased to supply the ideal flooring refurbishment solution for their local Fire Station in Haverhill, Suffolk.
The station’s refurbishment forms part of Suffolk Fire and Rescues programme to update all of their stations. Working in conjunction with flooring contractors R. W. Hall and Sons of Ipswich, the 300m² project encompassed the kit rooms, locker rooms, mess room and offices.
To commence, the floor surfaces were pre-smoothed with ARDEX's most advanced low odour latex based smoothing compound ARDITEX NA. A self-smoothing, protein free latex levelling/smoothing compound, ARDITEX NA has been developed for use on virtually all substrates and it can be laid from a feather edge up to at least 12mm in a single application. In addition, thicknesses up to 30mm are possible when ARDEX Coarse Aggregate is incorporated into the mix. Offering excellent properties of adhesion and flexibility, ARDITEX NA is perfect for levelling concrete, cement/sand screeds, flooring grade asphalt, quarry tiles and even internal steel decks without priming. The ammonia free formulation of ARDITEX NA makes it perfect for use in sensitive environments, including schools, hospitals and other specialised buildings. Simple to use, with improved flow and excellent water resistant properties, outstanding on-site performance is assured.
By choosing ARDITEX NA for this installation, the final floorcoverings could be applied after just 4 hours, thereby ensuring a fast track finish.
Oliver Hall of R.W.Hall and Sons commented, “ARDITEX NA is in a league of its’ own in terms of performance and reliability. This project was easily completed on schedule, much to the delight of our client”.
