ARDEX Provide Fast Track Delivery for Mothercare
An impressive portfolio of retail sector installations helped to ensure that ARDEX UK was first choice to provide the perfect flooring solution for a prestigious new store, on behalf of the UK’s leading parenting retailer, Mothercare.
ARDEX worked in partnership with national flooring contractors Peter Evans Flooring, who were commissioned by Mothercare to install the 1250m² floor at their new superstore in the Lakeside Shopping Centre at Thurrock. From their sophisticated range of high quality commercial flooring systems, ARDEX’s market leading water based self-levelling smoothing compound, ARDEX K 15 was chosen to fulfil the project criteria. ARDEX K 15 has been proven to be the ideal choice when downtime must be kept to a minimum and a perfect finish is paramount.
The prepared and primed sub-floor received a self-levelling layer of ARDEX K 15, which delivers a smooth, hard and flat finish, regardless of whether pump or trowel applied. In addition, ARDEX K 15 incorporates unique ARDEX ‘Rapidry Formula’ technology, which chemically binds all the mix water within the mortar, delivering the benefit of rapid drying and hardening. The ARDEX K 15 surface was walkable only 2 hours after application and was able to receive the Amtico floorcovering within 24 hours, allowing the store to be in use at the earliest opportunity.
