ARDEX Provides a Fast Track Finish for Harrods
When Harrods, the famous London department store, redesigned two of their Menswear Departments, ARDEX UK was delighted to work in conjunction with BTM Marble & Granite & BTM Trading Ltd of Wembley, Middlesex, to provide the ideal fixing solution.
Premium manufacturer of tiling and flooring products and with an impressive portfolio of retail sector installations, ARDEX was able to deliver products and technical support that would meet the stringent project brief, including the essential fast track completion. As with all retail environments, it was vital that both Menswear Departments were completed and available for customers at the earliest possible opportunity, and with their successful track record of similar installations, ARDEX was able to categorically provide this assurance.
The project started with an application of ARDEX SD-T B Base Mix over the original floor. Thanks to the ARDEX ‘Rapidry Formula’ technology, the new floor surface dried and hardened in a matter of hours, helping to reduce valuable downtime and resulting in the necessary flat, durable and hard wearing finish.
ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive in grey was used to fix the new 600mm x 600mm Porcelain floor tiles & 800mm x 800mm Emperador Marble floor tiles. Suitable for fixing all types of wall and floor tiles, ARDEX X 7 R can be walked on and grouted just 2 hours after application, and is the ideal choice for installations where rapid completion is necessary. Additional features include excellent slump resistance, superior application properties and suitability for use with underfloor heating.
