Call of Duty Answered by ARDEX at Gamestation
When Gamestation, the fastest growing retailer of video and computer games in the UK opened a new store in Hull, the combined services of leading manufacturer of premium quality flooring systems ARDEX UK, and Hull Flooring Limited were called upon to supply the perfect flooring solution.
As with most retail locations, it was essential that a cost effective and hard-wearing floor was specified that would meet the demands of regular foot traffic and daily hygiene routines.
Hull Flooring specified ARDEX FEATHER FINISH to smooth over the new plywood floor, as it has been extensively proven to deliver rapid and effective on-site working, and only requires the addition of water to produce a strong bond, without the additional expense of primers. In addition, the built-in Rapidry Formula technology ensures that ARDEX FEATHER FINISH dries and hardens rapidly, this can be after as little as 15 minutes on absorbent sub-floors. This enables the early installation of floorcoverings, thereby significantly minimising costly downtime.
ARDEX AF 890 Surface Tackifier was specified to fix the carpet tiles within the store. Odourless when dry with a short drying time and permanent tack, ARDEX AF 890 is equally effective when roller or spray applied.
To complete the installation, Polyflor Kudos vinyl floorcovering was fixed with ARDEX AF 100 Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Flooring Adhesive. Designed specifically for the UK flooring market, ARDEX AF 100 incorporates the latest floorcovering adhesives technology and is perfect for use with PVC/Vinyl floorcoverings. With built-in benefits including its solvent free formulation, very low odour and high yield, ARDEX AF 100 proved ideal for this new store.
