ARDEX has the Flooring Solution for New Equine Hospital
Premium performance flooring products from ARDEX UK were specified by Kings Lynn Flooring for installation within the largest and most modern private equine hospital in Europe, which is currently being built in Newmarket.
Based in Newmarket since the early 1900s, Greenwood Ellis and Partners have built up an enormous reputation for dedicated and high quality equine veterinary care. Their new site will enable them to extend their expert veterinary services into this unique centre of excellence, which will be named Newmarket Equine Hospital, (NEH), and will gather all specialities of the equine veterinary profession in an exciting state-of-the-art facility.
Kings Lynn Flooring, who are regular applicators of ARDEX flooring systems, commenced the installation by applying ARDITEX RS PLUS to the offices and corridors of the building. Due to its superb track record throughout many installations, ARDITEX RS PLUS is highly regarded by specifiers, contractors and end users as a cost effective, low odour, self-smoothing latex levelling compound with excellent properties of adhesion and water resistance. Incorporating rapid setting properties, ARDITEX RS PLUS is ready to receive final floorcoverings in just 6 hours, and is suitable for use on sub-floors such as concrete, cement and sand screeds, terrazzo and quarry tiles etc.
ARDEX AF 2510 two-component polyurethane flooring adhesive was selected to fix a combination of Altro D 25 and Altro Maxis 25 safety flooring, which included coved skirtings to the corridors. ARDEX AF 2510 is very easy to apply and can be trowelled using either a large or small notched trowel. Virtually emission free and water resistant when fully cured, ARDEX AF 2510 offers high heat resistance and high strength, and is ideal for fixing PVC, polyolefins, linoleum, rubber and hardwoods.
