ARDEX Accelerate BBC Televised Kitchen
Makeover
ARDEX UK, the trusted name in high

to supply fast track flooring products for a kitchen
makeover, undertaken by the primetime BBC ONE television
programme, 'DIY SOS'.
ARDEX products are renowned throughout

timescale of only 2½ days to complete the entire
makeover, all involved could confidently rely upon ARDEX

A 55 rapid drying self-levelling compound, the proven
fast track screeding and levelling system, were the
ultimate products for
the job.
ARDEX
A 35 cement mixed with screeding sand was ideal
for screeding the kitchen floor area, as the rapid hardening
and drying properties of the screed meant trafficking
and application of the final part of the system, ARDEX
A 55 levelling compound, could commence after only
three hours. Both products incorporate ARDEX Rapidry
Formula technology that chemically binds the mix water
without evaporation, ensuring rapid drying and hardening
regardless of application thickness. After a further
hour the screeded and levelled floor was then ready
to receive the floorcovering. This unique ARDEX system
offers incredible time savings compared to the use of
a traditional cement/sand screed reducing the floorcovering
application time from at least 30 days down to only
4 hours.
