Relax in the Conservatory with ARDEX
ARDEX UK, manufacturers of fast track
construction products were delighted to team up with
one of their regular partners in the trade, Cerface
Limited Wall and Floor Tiling Contractors of Gillingham,
Kent to provide the total screeding, tiling and grouting
solution for a new conservatory installation.
To ensure the conservatory could be
used throughout the year, Marmox tile backing boards
were installed below the 15m²
conservatory floor, to provide a stable and insulated
base, prior to application of ARDEX
A 35 MIX, screed repair and screeding mortar. The
use of ARDEX
A 35 MIX provided easy and convenient on site working
due to the ARDEX
A 35 cement and sand being pre-blended. ARDEX Rapidry
Formula technology meant, that just 24 hours after application,
the hard, dry and flat surface was ready to receive
the ceramic tiles.
ARDEX's fastest setting and hardening
tile adhesive, ARDEX-FLEX
6001, was utilised to fix the floor tiles, as it
is renowned for versatile and effective performance
with all types of tiles including mosaics, fully vitrified
and porcelain. ARDEX-FLEX
6001 is easy to apply with excellent workability
and enabled the tiles to be walked on and grouted just
90 minutes after application.
For an impressive finish to the ARDEX
system solution, ARDEX-FLEX
FL rapid setting, flexible tile grout with built-in
admix, was chosen to grout the tile joints. As ARDEX-FLEX
FL can be walked on a mere 90 minutes later, the
conservatory was now complete and ready for use in the
shortest possible time.
