ARDEX Enjoy Dining at the Garden
Centre
ARDEX UK, pioneers in the manufacture
and development of premium quality construction products,
were delighted to provide the complete screeding and
smoothing solution for an impressive new restaurant
within Bents Garden Centre in Glazebury, near Warrington.
Flooring contractors D.Holt Flooring
Limited of Atherton, applied the ARDEX duo of ARDEX
A 35 rapid drying cement for floor screeds and ARDEX
K 15 rapid drying self-levelling smoothing compound,
the perfect combination to provide a superior fast track
flooring system for the busy restaurant area.
Designed to portray a modern, stylish
dining environment a bespoke Amtico floorcovering was
to be the main feature within the 500m² restaurant.
To commence the project trenches in the concrete sub-floor
were levelled out with ARDEX
A 35 cement and sand to provide a flat surface ready
to receive the ARDEX
K 15 self-levelling smoothing compound. ARDEX
A 35 incorporates ARDEX Rapidry Formula technology
which speeds hardening and drying times, regardless
of application thickness, enabling it to be walked on
only 3 hours later, with further work taking place after
24 hours, significantly reducing down time.
For the next stage, the concrete sub-floor,
together with the hardened and dried ARDEX
A 35 screed were primed with ARDEX
P 51 primer. The prepared sub-floor was then ready
to receive ARDEX
K 15, the market leading water based self-levelling
smoothing compound. A smooth, hard and flat finish was
provided, which was walkable after just 2 hours and
ready to receive the Amtico floorcovering within 24
hours.
