ARDEX take on Autumn Floods
ARDEX UK, the trusted name for fast
track industrial toppings, were delighted to provide
products that were ideal for the job, when they assisted
one of their valued clients, national resin flooring
contractors Fastrack Flooring Ltd.
Morphy Richards commissioned Fastrack
Flooring to resurface the floor area of a 7,000m²
industrial warehouse, used as the base for their packaging
and distribution operation in Mexborough, South Yorkshire.
The existing floor area was substantially damaged by
3ft of water during last Autumns floods, making a major
floor resurfacing project a necessity. The five phase
project was carefully planned to ensure a superior floor
could be installed, with minimum disruption to the busy
area. ARDEX SD-T
Industrial Floor System was chosen because of previous
successful installations where time and cost savings
were made without sacrificing quality of finish.
ARDEX SD-T was pump applied to give a fluid, self levelling
mortar, specifically developed for the rapid resurfacing
and levelling of existing concrete floors, providing
a hard, smooth, flat surface, which is resilient enough
to accept heavy wheeled traffic, typical of industrial
workshops and warehouses. ARDEX SD-T is the only system available incorporating
ARDEX Rapidry Formula technology that chemically binds
the mix water without evaporation, allowing further
work, including the application of water-based systems
such as epoxy paint coatings in as little as 6 hours.
