ARDEX Impress Leading Flooring Contractor
An increasing number of national flooring
contractors are teaming up with ARDEX UK to experience
the superior standards of performance and reliability
synonymous with their impressive fast track industrial
flooring systems.
Saber Systems Limited, specialist
installers of high performance pumped levelling compounds,
were commissioned by Muscat Properties to refurbish
the floor area of several units, previously used as
food preparation areas. Having been designated for future
use as a storage facility, the 3500m² floor area
required a durable and low maintenance floor surface,
capable of withstanding large racking units and heavy
wheeled traffic.
ARDEX SD-T Industrial Floor System was specified because
it is widely respected throughout the flooring industry
for consistently delivering cost and time savings without
compromising the quality and durability of the floor
finish.
The original floor area had been laid
to provide self draining falls, these falls required
removal and filling prior to the floor being pre-levelled
with ARDEX SD-T
B base mix. The rapid drying properties of ARDEX
SD-T B base mix meant that, in a matter of hours,
a self-levelling, smoothing layer of ARDEX SD-T concrete topping could be applied.
Following the application of ARDEX
P 51 primer, the newly pre-levelled surface received
a pump applied 8mm layer of ARDEX SD-T concrete topping which provided a self- levelling,
fluid mortar which dried and hardened rapidly to achieve
a flat, hard, wearing surface.
